In The Planet Savers, the first published Darkover novel, Regis Hastur says to Jason Allison, "I have five sons, three legitimate, born in the past two years."[1]

In her essay A Darkover Retrospective, Marion Zimmer Bradley clarified: "A combination of a misprint and an attempt to be clever endowed Regis with five sons, three legitimate—which has led to many fans asking me who he married—whereas the original in my manuscript read that he had five sons, three legitimated—meaning that he had given them recognized status as nedestro Comyn sons; bastards, from casual love affairs."[2]
